Activities

We foster encounters to build bridges across disciplines, generations, and cultures.

🔹 Workshops

Workshops are designed to foster mutual understanding and communication on topics of broad significance among participants from diverse educational and professional backgrounds and at various career stages. Each program is designed to engage participants in questions that shape both personal life and the common good — questions where medicine and culture meet.

  • Workshops are limited to small groups (20-30 people), in hybrid format with the possibility of joining at a distance, with ample time for discussions to ensure active engagement.
  • Sessions include formal and informal presentations and smaller groups activities.
  • Participants will be invited to contribute to a joint final report and possible articles.

Each workshop spans 3-5 days and is focused on a specific topic.

Planned workshops include:

What is Truth? (Conjectures and Refutations in Science and Beyond): an interdisciplinary workshop exploring how truth is sought in science, philosophy, and human experience.

Senescence and Aging at the Biological, Individual and Societal levels  (Interdisciplinary Course).

Perspectives on Sex Hormones and Aging (Scientific Workshop).

Basic and Applied Mathematics and Complex Biological Systems (Scientific Workshop).

🔹 Summer Camps

Summer camps are designed to be more than courses: they are immersive experiences where study, creativity, and friendship come together in the inspiring setting of the Italian Alps. Rooted in the conviction that medicine and culture enrich one another, our camps foster dialogue across disciplines, generations, and backgrounds.

The camps are designed for senior high school and college students (maximum 15 participants), who will live and learn side by side with senior speakers and junior tutors. Each day balances structured sessions with outdoor and convivial activities, encouraging both intellectual growth and personal encounter.

Summer camps will bring together complementary fields:

  • Biomedicine – exploring questions of health, science, and the human person.
  • Music – practicing the art of listening, creativity, and shared expression.
  • Mathematics – training the mind to reason, imagine, and search for truth.
  • Spirituality – with ample time for personal reflection and condivision.
  • Cooking – discovering conviviality and culture through the preparation of meals.

Morning or daily sessions will focus on these themes, alternating with hiking in the mountains, reflective moments, and shared meals. Participants will experience the richness of both intellectual exchange and the simple joy of living together.
