Activities

At Studium, our activities bring medicine and culture into dialogue to serve the human person and society. From lectures and seminars to hybrid international gatherings, we foster encounters that build bridges across disciplines, generations, and cultures.

🔹 Medicine & Society Lectures

A lecture series addressing the fundamental questions of our time. Leading voices in medicine, science, philosophy, theology, and the arts share their perspectives, opening a space for dialogue that is both rigorous and human. For more information see the dedicated webpage and/or click here.

🔹 Seminars & Retreats

Hosted in our house of hospitality in the Italian Alps, these events offer time for reflection, study, and encounter. Participants step out of daily routines to learn, exchange ideas, and explore the relationship between care, culture, and society.

🔹 Hybrid & Online Events

Through our international platform, we connect people across the world — students, professionals, thinkers, and practitioners. Our hybrid events allow in-person participants and online audiences to meet in a single space of dialogue, transcending geographic and cultural barriers.

Studium develops courses and workshops that bring together science, philosophy, the arts, and society. Each program is designed to engage participants in questions that shape both personal life and the common good — questions where medicine and culture meet.

Planned initiatives include:

Persona: a program of hospitality and accompaniment for youth of every age, rooted in care for the whole person.

What is Truth? (Conjectures and Refutations in Science and Beyond): an interdisciplinary workshop exploring how truth is sought in science, philosophy, and human experience.

Senescence and Aging: Between Biology, Medicine, and Society (Interdisciplinary Course).

Perspectives on Sex Hormones and Aging (Scientific Workshop).
